We’re So Glad
We are excited to welcome you to Ithaca First! Below are the details that we hope will make your experience a great one! Our heart is to make your visit to our church one that will be a special experience for you. We can’t wait to meet you!
Our main service begins at 10:00am and usually lasts between 75-95 minutes. What you should expect during the service: We usually open up with a welcome video, or song and then right into a few songs. Then we pray, then greet one one another. There will be a time of giving/offering then dismissal of children to their service geared for their ages, then an announcement video. The Message is then delivered along with a time for response and closing prayer.
During the singing time, the words to the songs will be on the screen in front on the platform. You will see people singing out loud, and people clapping or lifting their hands and even occasionally dancing. These are all outward expressions of an inter appreciation and love for Jesus.
Following the time of singing, an offering will be collected. The offering is an opportunity for our members and regular attenders to worship God through giving and to support the ongoing mission of the church. As our guest, please feel no expectation of pressure to give.
At the end of our service, there is often the opportunity to receive prayer from church leaders.
What about my Kids?
Kingdom Kids (age 5- grade 6) will usually be in the main service with the family and then be dismissed for their children’s service after worship to Patti Sotero our Children’s Director and her team in the fellowship hall.
The Nursery/Toddler Ministry is available for ages 4 months to 4- year old children. Our Toddler room is the room next to the sanctuary and our Nursery is down the hall past the restrooms on the right hand side. When you drop off your infant or toddler you will be given a number. This number allows the care givers to page you during the service if you are needed. This number will be paged in red numbers in the two corner boxes in right and left sides of the sanctuary.
We also offer wonderful age specific programs for our school aged children on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45pm.
How Should I Dress?
However you feel comfortable. Dress up, dress down… completely up to you. We won’t care. Come as you are.
