Summer Hiking Life Group
We hope that all the father’s had a wonderful Father’s day last Sunday.
This week on June 25th we will have an opportunity for a special hike to Buttermilk Falls. Its one of Ithaca’s premier gorge hikes. The weather is looking pretty nice for this one.
This hike has a moderately strenuous stair climb to begin, then mild uphill hiking to the upper falls. The loop around Lake Treman is beautiful but has a steep descent down some irregular steps. The total hike is 3.5 or 4 miles and worth every step! Because of this you will want to wear good shoes and bring plenty of water.
There will be many tourists and plenty of Ithacafirst-ers to motivate anyone who needs it! This is a hike that you cannot afford to miss!! We will meet at the parking lot at Buttermilk at 1:00. Since there is admission for the vehicles, Rob will be happy to take you over from the church if you let him know by Sunday morning.
Anyone is invited and welcome to join the group at any one of these hikes/walks. So invite someone and see you there!
Each week we will be choosing a different location to walk and hike the beautiful trails that are around the greater Ithaca area.
This life group is to connect relationally with those in the group, spiritually in God’s creation, and physically to get out and move.
Hebrews 10:25 says it best: “not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another” which is exactly what this group is all about.
