The is the last Hiking Life Group this Sunday August 13th at Shindagin State Forest.

We’ll be hiking through some beautiful terrain along a ridge on the edge of a gorge and though some beautiful forest.  Besides the usual forest fauna, we may even be able to spot some local mountain bikers tearin’ it up!  This will be a moderate hike, with a couple of short areas of steep ascent or descent.
We’ll be meeting at the first parking area on Shindagin road, right after the pavement ends on the right at 1:15.  However, we will be at the church parking lot at  12:45 for those who would like to caravan over since some may have trouble finding the location.

Directions to Shindagin Hollow:
Shindagin Hollow State Forest is located in Caroline, NY, about 10 miles East from Ithaca and 24 miles West from I-81 at Whitney Point.

From Ithaca: take NY 79 East for 7 miles and turn right (South) on Boiceville Rd. (if you got as far as Slaterville Springs on 79, you went too far). A half mile later Boiceville Rd ends at a T with Central Chapel Rd. Turn left at T (still south) onto Central Chapel Rd. After 2.5 miles you come to a Y intersection with Shindagin Hollow Rd and Braley Hill Rd, Shindagin Hollow is within these two

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Each week we will be choosing a different location to walk and hike the beautiful trails that are around the greater Ithaca area.

This life group is to connect relationally with those in the group, spiritually in God’s creation, and physically to get out and move.

Hebrews 10:25 says it best: “not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another” which is exactly what this group is all about.
